Synopsis
Are you an emerging documentary producer with a story to tell? Or perhaps you have already made a documentary or two?? If you have ever wanted an opportunity to showcase your story, then here it is:C31's popular series Local Knowledge is returning in 2012 and we are seeking submissions of docos from you! Local Knowledge is a collection of local documentaries that provide an insight into a range of communities, organisations and places within Melbourne and Geelong. We want your documentaries (or even mockumentaries) to create a 13 week series.All you have to do is send your 'Local Knowledge' to Local Knowledge, Channel 31, Level 1, 501 Swanston St, Melbourne, 3000, with the submission form and a synopsis of your program content (300 words or less).Once we have reviewed your program, our Local Knowledge producer, Caitlin Walker will contact you regarding the success of your submission.All programs submitted must comply with the following requirements:-Mini DV Tapes or Playable/Authored DVD only-Must be edited to either 25 or 50 minutes* in duration (*or within 1 minute over or under)-Those programs over 13 minutes duration must be in 2 or more segments.-All vision must be 16:9 widescreen with stereo audioEach tape submitted must have the following:Before start of program:-1 min black-30 sec colour bars & tone-clapper-countdown to start of programBetween segments:-1 min black, inc 10sec 'Insert break here' graphic-countdownAfter last vision:-2min blackPlease note:- Submissions will not be returned, so please send us a copy, not the master tape.- All content must have the appropriate copyright releases- All programs to be broadcast will be subject to the standard C31 transmission agreement and technical requirements* (*requirements can be found on the C31 website)- C31 reserves the right to amend or alter submissions content and timing restrictions
