Melbourne’s Community TV station Channel 31 is edging closer to a switch to digital.
The channel begins a a two week Test broadcast from Friday.
Its official launch on Channel 44 is planned for June 11th, but the date is yet to be finalised.
During June C31 will be creating a public awareness campaign, advising Melbourne and Geelong of its launch on the digital channel.
On the night of Community TV’s Antenna Awards, C31 will also be launching a new logo and brand to the public.
On June 11 it also premieres SYN-produced series The Wrap, covering news, gossip, fashion, film, music or sport in Melbourne.
It premieres live at 9pm, with 21yo host Leon Sjogren and a posse of specialist reporters.
TVS in Sydney began broadcasting on Channel 44 in March.
