n episode three, produced by the C31 Production Team, we take a look at another Australian Community Radio station. Here we take a look at Melbourne's popular FM station PBS, sitting at 106.7 on the FM dial.
Starting in the early 80s, PBS began with a group of punks who wished or their music preference to be played on radio. Now over 40 years on, PBS are still playing music from all different genres across the world.
Their main focus is on the music and try and eliminate ‘talk back’ as much as possible. Their various shows are hosted by an eclectic bunch of individuals. whom hail from across the world.
Their aim to broadcast, independent, diverse and underrepresented music is the driving force behind the PBS name.
