Sally Stanton takes a trip to the beautiful Hunter Valley in New South Wales, visiting two more of the families who make up Australia's First Families of Wine.
Host Sally Stanton (Sydney Weekender, Saturday Morning Disney) travels Australia in search of some of the country's most historic and well loved wineries guided by legendary wine expert James Halliday and his best selling wine rating publication the Halliday Wine Companion.
In series two, Sally visits all twelve of the Australia's First Families of Wine, with legendary favourites Yalumba, De Bortoli, Brown Brothers, Tyrrell's and a whole lot more. Sally visits some well-loved wine regions like the Yarra Valley, Barossa and Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Hunter Valley and Margaret River amongst others.
In this episode, Sally visits two more of the families who make up Australia's First Families of Wine. First, Sally drops in to Tyrrell's, proponents of the delicious Semillon, chatting with Bruce & Chris Tyrrell. Later, a short trek over to the McWilliams owned Mount Pleasant, where Sally catches up with Scott & Jeff McWilliams. If this doesn't make you want to visit the Hunter, we don't know what will!
