In 2017 Melbourne Community Television Consortium Ltd appointed an Advisory Board to provide guidance to the Board on matters of strategic importance.
The Advisory Board is currently comprised of 10 members:
Elana Harari (Social media strategist)
As CEO of Social Media Servants Elana wears many hats ensuring the agency consistently evolves to the ever-changing marketplace and provides clients with leading business opportunities. As head of business operations and strategy, Elana is well educated on the digital landscape and thrives off developing systems and processes to ensure efficient workflow internally and externally.
Dirk Ullrich (Digital strategist)
Dirk is Digital Strategy Director at Avanade with a focus on Innovation, Connected and Immersive Spaces and Mixed Reality Technology specifically leveraging data and analytics, cloud, artificial intelligence and IoT to seamlessly blend technology into both consumer and employee experiences to enable efficiency and effectiveness.
Prior to joining Avanade, Dirk was Senior Manager with Accenture Interactive where he was Advertising Practice Lead (ANZ and APAC) with over 10 years experience in the media industry including 3 years as Commercialisation and Strategy Manager at Bauer Media. In addition, he brings over 20 years’ experience in technology and digital having held senior management and leadership roles across large, blue chip telecommunications, technology and digital businesses. His focus has been on strategy, launching and commercialising new products, creating engaging consumer and media experiences and leveraging technology to drive revenue and cost efficiency.
David Lee (Digital strategist)
David Lee is a digital executive with 12 years’ experience in the media industry. He is currently the Head of Digital at a global media agency, Initiative He has held previous roles as Managing Director for Society – IPG Mediabrands, Australian co-founder of Nuffnang (ASX:NCL) and GroupM media agencies. He also holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Systems with Monash University.
Judy Pridmore (Leading and transforming businesses in digital and tech space)
Judy has over 20 years’ experience leading and transforming businesses in the digital and technology space. She has worked in a diverse range of sectors in start-ups through to global organisations, including News Limited, Westpac and Southcorp. Judy currently runs her own digital consulting firm; she holds a Bachelor of Education from Victoria University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Alan Long (Business strategist - integrating digital)
Alan Long is an experienced digital and media professional, currently operating his own digital business consultancy Bulb Digital. Alan’s breadth of experience covers Advertising Agencies (Clemenger, McCann, FCB), Media Companies (Triple M Sydney & Melbourne and Fairfax Media) Digital Businesses (BMCMedia and Hitwise) and has been involved with a digital startups at consultant, executive and board level.
In addition to his business consultancy Alan has founded a teen music program Rock Academy Australia in Melbourne and Sydney with his teenage son.

Mark Raso (Turnaround management specialist)
Mark Raso is a senior leader with extensive experience in strategy, M&A and large-scale commercial transactions. He is also a technical expert running major transformations and growth strategies for well-known market leaders and media brands. Mark holds degrees of Bachelor of Law (Commercial), Bachelor of Business (Management), and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Monash University.
Andrew Mendelawitz (Venture capital)
Andrew Mendelawitz is corporate development and marketing professional with experience in venture capital, mining, apparel, energy, tech and online businesses. Educated in Australia and the USA, Mr Mendelawitz has worked extensively in Australia, Brazil, Chile, China and Mexico. He holds an MBA from Curtin University’s Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Media.
Kate Thiele (NED including NFPs)
Kate Thiele has Board and Executive experience working with a Top 100 listed company, in the private sector and with two of Australia’s leading not-for-profits. She has worked across diverse industries including health, retail, manufacturing and the not for profit sector. Kate was the CEO of Guide Dogs SA/ NT, and is currently a Director of the Royal Zoological Society, the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust and the Adelaide Crows Foundation Board.
Dr Murray Green is a Media Development Adviser and Media Lawyer, with a particular interest in the Asia Pacific. Murray has recently worked on community media projects for the ITU, UNESCO and the UNDP. He is Honorary Professor in Public Diplomacy at Macquarie University and teaches media regulation in the Law Faculty at University of Technology Sydney. He was formerly Director International and Director Corporate Strategy and Governance at the ABC and was a former President of, what now is, the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. Murray has a doctorate in law from the University of Melbourne.
